From Venue Set-Up to Sparkler Shot, We Don't Miss a Moment
When filming your wedding, Snowbird Films is dedicated to capturing all the special moments that make your day unique and unforgettable. We start by setting the scene with beautiful shots of the venue and its surroundings — the views, the architecture, and any special features that make it special to you.
Next, we move on to the bridal and groom preparations, capturing all the excitement and nerves of getting ready for the big day: the bride and her bridesmaids getting hair and makeup done, the groom and groomsmen putting on their tuxedos and boutonnieres, and quick shots of the venue coming together as flowers are arranged and final touches are put on the decorations.
As guests arrive, we capture their reactions as they see the ceremony room for the first time — the excitement of the father seeing his daughter in her wedding dress, and guests taking their seats waiting for the ceremony to begin.
During the ceremony we focus on the main event — every moment of the vows, readings and first kiss — plus plenty of shots of the bride and groom walking down the aisle as newlyweds.
After the ceremony, during the photographic session, we get plenty of candid shots of guests enjoying canapés and drinks during the cocktail hour, alongside the formal photo session with the bride, groom and key people in their lives.
As the reception continues we capture the cutting of the cake, the bride and groom's tour around the venue, and the reception room filling up with tables set and decorations in place.
At dinner we capture guests taking their seats and the atmosphere of the room — we don't usually film while people are eating, unless there are singing waiters or other entertainment happening.
After dinner, it's the speeches and any special performances, including plenty of reaction shots capturing the laughter and tears that always accompany wedding speeches.
As the evening wears on we capture guests enjoying themselves, the arrival of evening guests, any special entertainment, the first dance and other special dances, plus the cutting of the cake and guest reactions.
Finally we end the night with the band (if you have one) and the sparkler shot, which always looks beautiful on film.
