Is one videographer enough for a wedding?

One experienced cinematographer can cover a wedding using several discreet static cameras for additional angles. The right team size depends on your guest numbers, timings and the style of film you want. A second cinematographer adds simultaneous coverage and gives the highlights and feature films more visual variety.

Do I need two videographers at my wedding?

We recommend two cinematographers for weddings with more than 75 guests, when important events happen at the same time, or when you want a more highly styled film. One person can concentrate on the essential coverage while the second has more freedom to capture reactions, details and creative angles.

What does a wedding videographer do?

A wedding videographer records the ceremony, speeches, reception and other important moments, while also capturing professional sound, natural reactions and the setting. After the wedding, the footage is backed up, selected, colour-graded, sound-mixed and edited into your finished films.

How do I choose a wedding videographer?

Look carefully at their experience, filming style, complete portfolio, prices and what each package includes. It is also worth speaking before you book: you should feel comfortable with the people who will be around you and your guests throughout the day.

Is it better to have a photographer or videographer?

Photography preserves individual moments; film brings back movement, voices, vows and atmosphere. If your budget allows, having both creates the most complete record. Our combined packages use one coordinated creative team and can offer better value than booking separately.

How much should I pay for a wedding video?

Professional UK wedding videography commonly ranges from around £1,500 to £8,000, depending on experience, coverage, team size, equipment and editing. Snowbird packages begin at £1,900, reflecting the planning, production and post-production behind each finished film.

What is included in the full wedding film package?

The full package includes planning calls, a tailored filming plan, equipment preparation, friendly and unobtrusive coverage, secure footage backups, music collation, up to two weeks of editing, audio levelling and colour grading. Your highlights and feature films are supplied online and on a custom USB.

What should I ask before hiring a videographer?

Ask about their experience, examples of complete films, package inclusions, delivery times, equipment, backup plans, audio recording, venue experience and how they work alongside photographers. Make sure any travel costs and optional extras are clear before booking.

How can we save money on wedding videography?

Consider shorter coverage, a highlights-only package, an off-peak or weekday date, or one cinematographer for a smaller wedding. Tell us which parts of the day matter most and we can suggest where your budget will have the greatest impact.

How long should we have a videographer?

Most couples choose six or seven hours, which can cover the ceremony through to the first dance. Longer coverage is useful when preparations, travel, cultural ceremonies or evening celebrations form an important part of the story.

Does the videographer also edit the film?

Yes. Editing, colour correction and audio enhancement are included in every Snowbird Films package. We shape the footage into a polished story rather than simply handing over unedited camera files.
